About Sikhs Online
SikhsOnline.co.uk is a community focused site which provides UK Sikh News, Business Profiles, Entertainment & Event coverage, Heritage & Cultural information and stories and Health & Lifestyle updates.
The Sikhs Online site went live in June 2008 and has since grown into a recognised portal and regularly attracts hundreds of visitors per day. We pride ourselves in being a site that provides an information resource for readers of all ages and from all backgrounds.
Our aims for 2010
- Expand our editorial coverage
. - Attract businesses to promote their services through SikhsOnline.co.uk
. - Introduce new Education and Online Shopping sections – vital services for students and businesses
. - Attract more writers who want to be part of the project, or would like to make use of our blog section to speak out on topics that call out for comment and analysis. Help us bring the site alive!
The team
Sikhs Online is run by a team of dedicated volunteers who work very hard to keep the site updated with fresh content.
Manjinderpal Matharu Chief Editor and Founder
Manjinderpal (short name: Mann) came up with the idea for Sikhs Online back in 2007, after much research and careful consideration he launched Sikhs Online in June 2008. Mann comes from an Internet Design and Marketing background. He was born in London and is 30 years old.
John Cole Journalist
John, aged 66, has been working with Sikhs Online since the beginning. He has a background in provincial daily and weekly newspapers, including editorships and business editorships. He is married with three sons and two grandchildren.
Amar Dhanota Marketing Executive
Amar, a busy mother of two teenagers, joined the team in July 2009 after volunteering to write some articles for the Business section of our site. Amar is a profession mortgage advisor and also has experience in the world of healthy and beauty.
